Something that’s been on my must-have list for quite some time is a long line padded or quilted Winter coat.
Between all these lovely Winter walks, watching the children play football or watching my beloved Swansea City play football, I’ve craved the warmth of a snug warm coat and I’m lucky enough to have found the perfect one for me, which just happened to be in the Debenhams Blue Cross Sale.
The Regatta navy blue Blissful ii long line coat has been just what I needed.
It has a lightweight feel to it, but has kept me wonderfully warm, dry and cosy on many an occasions over the passed 3 weeks since I purchased it.
For example, I got caught in a really heavy downpour after walking and dropping the children at school (it was a lovely crisp Winter’s morning when I left the house!)
On my way home, the heavens opened but luckily with my coat reaching just above my knees and my new knee high black boots (mentioned in my previous post on January 7th) the only part of me that actually got wet was my knees!!
I popped on the detachable fur lined hood so my head remained dry and warm and when I got back to the house I didn’t feel shivery or cold (which is very unusual for me) until I actually took my coat off!! The water dripped off my coat so the water resistant fabric really did worked amazingly.
This coat features under Regatta’s Heritage long line waterproof and insulated parka range, and because it has a semi fitted waist region it fits snuggly with an added silhouetted flair.
As I’m quite a curvy woman this coat fits perfectly and does not make me look like a “Michelin Man” advert even though it is created with a Thermo Guard insulation and is slightly padded.
The other advantage of having such a wonderfully warm and long coat is that my long winter tunics and jumpers do not hang down and show at my coat hem, a pet hate of mine.
The only downside to the coat for me is the two zip fastening, I like the old style zip and clip, as it’s so much easier. The fact that the coat has two zips which you can fasten up or down is a bit fiddly, but that’s a small price to pay for such an otherwise, fantastic coat.
As you can guess plastic stadium seats are always cold, so my beautiful new navy blue Blissful ii coat not only keeps me dry on the walk to the stadium but keeps my backside and upper legs warm and cosy too whilst I’m watching the game.
This coat is not only a fashionable and stylish Winter coat, a great shade and wonderfully warm but also a great outerwear piece that will see you through Winter after Winter.
