The Classic White Shirt from Next

You just know that your new Spring/Summer wardrobe needs a statement white shirt.

Whether you want to layer it under jumpers and cardigans, or just on its own with a trendy pair of denim jeans, the classic white shirt will give you a truly timeless classic look.

Next have a range of plain fitted white shirts and oversized and collarless pieces. They also include some mixed fabric subtle stripes and contrasting button placket styles.

Today, I’m going to write about the classic white shirt and to start with I’ve opted for the oversized casual shirt, which has long cuffed sleeves and a plain button placket (the buttons at the top are concealed).

The rear hemline has been created with a small dipped hemline, in a loose fit which enables you to wear this shirt in or outside your trousers.

This shirt also features twin chest pockets and a small pointed collar to finish.

With a shirt like this, it would make an amazing layering accessory especially if you have a lightweight cropped or short striped jumper to pop on over the top.

For an alternative look why not try teaming your white shirt with a statement coloured necklace and a reefer style jacket or blazer.

The other shirt I’ve featured is a more tailored version of the one above.

This is a fitted stretch shirt with pintuck details on the rear, a concealed button placket at the front and again a petite pointed collar and cuffed sleeve.

I would probably wear this top with some smart textured tapered trousers, full length at this time of year, but changing to three quarter cropped capri pants for the Summer.

With rolled back sleeves I would finish off the look with a statement necklace, bracelet and jazzy pair of ballerina pumps.

If you prefer your shirts to look more like a feminine blouse, this Boss Orange Basic Collarless White Blouse could be just the thing for your Spring/Summer wardrobe.

It has a very casual bohemian style to it with an open collarless neckline, and a slight gathered detailed across the back shoulder panel.

It really depends on what style you are aiming for, personally for me, I adore the casual oversized shirt so my first choice above is the perfect one for me.
