This September saw my daughter move up from primary school to comprehensive school and in doing so needed not only the whole new school uniform but also a new winter coat!
I’ve been caught out in the past by waiting to get a winter coat nearer to the colder months, but this year, I decided to get it all sorted at the same time.
My daughter tried different styles and colours of winter coats but in the end she chose this Bluezoo khaki shower resistant parka coat from Debenhams. So it was duly ordered before the cold winter snap arrived.
My daughter is only 11 years old, but she’s very tall for her age – already standing at 5ft 3″. So I ordered her the age 13-14 year old, as the size guide says that goes up to 5ft 4″. I’m glad I did as there is room for her to grow.
We’ve tried the coat on and she says it feels like a warm duvet wrapped around her. It’s still not cold enough to wear yet as we’ve been lucky with the weather being relatively fine for start of the school year. But come the colder October/November weather, the soft borg lining in this coat will certainly be a welcome blessing as she walks to school.
The coat is also waterproof, which is brilliant as I’m sure she may get caught in some showers along the way.
The metallic khaki green shade was a positive tick in my daughter’s eyes. She loved my metallic grey parka and was chuffed when we managed to get her something similar. Especially in her “new” favourite colour-Khaki.
This coat has fab features, like the storm cuffs for extra warmth and hidden cinched waist. Two deep front pockets and front zip and press stud closure add to the warmth of this versatile coat.
I’ve always loved Bluezoo pieces from Debenhams. Their clothing is so well made, always true to the size stated and they offer a great choice of colours and styles to choose from. I’ve bought many t-shirts, jeans, dresses and coats,over the years for both my children.
Unfortunately, I’m nearing the end of Bluezoo purchases, only because the sizes they provide. The clothing only goes up to ages 13-14 and my daughter is currently fitting into that size now and my 15 year old son is long past Bluezoo clothing.
However, back to the Bluezoo khaki shower resistant parka coat from Debenhams, and as it’s only £38.00, it is quite reasonably priced. This parka is definitely an all round winner, not only with me but more importantly with my daughter. Thank you Bluezoo once again.
