After my shopping trip last week, I made a few key purchases that were missing from my wardrobe, namely jumpers.
Having looked around and tried a few pieces on, I really liked the fitted feel of a couple of cable knit jumpers from H&M.
Not only did I love the light grey jumper but also the black marl shade jumper as well.
They had a lovely snug shape to them which meant they sat beautifully on my waistline, which is great for me with my hourglass shape and curves.
If I could, I would love to be able to wear the box cut style jumpers, but they just make me look huge, literally like a square box, as there is no definition to their shape or length, so jumpers that hug the waist are definitely more suited to my shape.
The light grey jumper is my favourite, it has a plain knit back and sleeves with a soft cable knit pattern across the front panel with ribbing on the sleeves and cuffs.
Worn with both my indigo jeans and black jeans this jumper is the ideal layering go to piece. Due to its snug fit, it lies perfectly well under my various jackets.
I have worn both jumpers over the past week and have found them surprisingly warm.
They don’t have a heavy thick feel to them, quite the contrary in fact, as they are a lightweight mix of 50% acrylic and cotton, that helps with the warmth of the jumper along with the fitted shape.
I am certainly going to enjoy wearing them over the coming cooler months, that’s for sure.
The black marl jumper looks like the colour of a dark indigo denim blue, which will be great to match with my more colourful jeggings and boots during the winter months.
The jumpers were a great bargain too, as they were only £17.99 each, and for the quality, fit and warmth they were well worth the money and more.
As most of my daywear is worn around the house, school runs and occasional coffee get together, I find it hard to justify a hefty price tag on my clothes, unless I’m heading out for a special occasion that is.
If however, you like your designer labels, then head on up to John Lewis and try on the luxuriously gorgeous Ralph Lauren cable knit black jumper shown above.
Just a little bit more pricey than my H&M jumper, but worth it if you like designer names.
