I have chosen to review some snazzy trousers and a longline khaki green shirt from Femme Luxe for our collaboration this time, as I have yet to try any clothing from these ranges.
Femme Luxe sizing does border on the smaller scale, but thankfully I’d noticed that some of their trouser ranges have increased to incorporate size 16. I decided to opt for three different cuts and style of trouser and my review is below.
Although, I’d originally fancied the navy blue longline shirt dress they’d unfortunately sold out of my size, therefore I chose the khaki green shade instead.
Khaki Green Split Shirt Dress – Jayden
I chose this item as I thought it would be a great addition to my Summer wardrobe. I know that this split shirt is listed as a dress but for me with my legs, it’s best if I team it with my jeans/jeggings combination.
The khaki green split shirt dress features a button through front with button cuffed sleeves and a two side panels to tie up at the front to cinch in your waistline.
The cost of this 100% polyester shirt is £16.99. I ordered a size 14 and it is on the generous side, especially the sleeves, which are so long I had to pull them up a bit. When I first took the shirt out of the bag it was quite creased but a quick iron and this top felt like it was as smooth as silk.
I’ve teamed this subtle and lightweight khaki top with a white vest top and jeans ready for a smart summer look.
Now it’s time to move on and review the trouser wear from at Femme Luxe.
Khaki Green Cargo Slim Fit Trouser – Sunny
I always love wearing a good pair of jeans but decided that it might be fun to try something a bit different, so I ordered these khaki green cargo slim fit trousers for a change.
The cargo pants are made from 98% cotton and 2% elastane and are priced at £16.99. I wish there was a more elastane in the trousers as the cotton is quite rigid. A bit more stretch in these trousers woul help with the fit and feel of them.
However, I opted for a size 16, which I’m glad I did as they are not a generous size and with the lack of elasticity, it is really worth sizing up.
The trousers are a very dark khaki green and a comfortable enough fit. They feature multiple front pockets, a front seam and cuffed ankles. The cargo trousers are finished off with a large button and zip fastening.
I’ve teamed mine with a white blouse and chunky trainers to try and get a bit of an urban vibe.
Teal Belted Tapered Trousers – Amber
This time, I opted for a colour I would not normally wear by choosing these teal belted tapered trousers. Not only do they look and feel smooth and silky but they fit gently over my curvaceous bottom half.
These smart trousers feature a high waistband which I love, especially as it comes with the same fabric belt to finish off the elegant look of these sophisticated trouser.
Although the garment is made from 100% polyester and costs just £12.99, when you wear these trousers they look more expensive and luxurious, which is a really nice surprise.
I would say that to me the colour is more petrol blue than teal, but whatever you want to call it, it is a subtle but chic change from my usual black tailored trousers.
To jazz these trousers up a bit you could wear them with heels and lacy sophisticated top.
Black Animal Crocodile Print Cigarette Trousers with Belt – Kim
Finally, I ordered these gorgeously soft touch black animal crocodile print cigarette trousers and again found that they can be worn day or night depending on the clothing and shoes you match with it.
These pull on trousers are priced at £14.99 and are made from 95% polyester and 5% elastane and have a luxury leggings feel to them. I love the high waistband and although it comes with a fabric loop belt, in my opinion this is purely for decorative purposes.
They feature two front side pockets and pleating to add some more shaping to them. I find these are a great alternative to jeans especially when you are looking for more of a smart casual look.
The soft animal print pattern throughout the trousers and belt add a more sophisticated and on trend look to these cigarette trousers.
Maybe the reason so many women visit the Femme Luxe Refinery website is simply due to their low competitive prices, the varied collections, styles and colours available and the quick speed of their delivery.
I have been pleasantly surprised this time that Femme Luxe have seemingly started to stock a few of their items in sizes 14 and 16 which makes things easier for me to choose different pieces to review.
I have to thank Femme Luxe again as I have been so lucky to be asked to review their clothing on a few occasions now. I will admit that apart from one item of clothing, from the very first pieces I ordered, which was slightly see through, I have been impressed with their service and clothing.
I only wish I was 20 years younger and 2 sizes smaller to be able to wear some of their super sexy dresses and tops especially with their new Pulse Racing Collection now online.
