Floral Print Summer Handbag

I’ve been on the look out for a pretty floral handbag ready for the Summer months and have come across some beauties at Nica.

Although I do tend to cart around a lot of “stuff” in my handbag, I’ve come to realise that a minimalist approach on a day to day basis is quite adequate.

Therefore, as much as I do like a ‘big’ bag like a tote or shopper I have opted to downsize – just a little bit – and go for a messenger style handbag this Summer.

I like a canvas bag in the Summer, as it gives off a lighter feel, especially as I have a love of linen and floaty fabrics during June, July, August and September if we are luckily enough with the weather.

These two are my favourites, although I have chosen to buy the Sheila Messenger Denim Floral Print Bag. I think it will contrast, as well as mix and match with my Summer outfits.

The bright blue denim is offset with gorgeous large white blooms, to make the bag have a story all of it’s own.

The bag is secured via a top zip with two internal pockets, one which is also zipped. A neutral tan crossbody strap and vibrant orange lining make this simple bag a summer beauty.

My other favourite was the Evelin Crossbody Lucia Print Bag, which again is slightly smaller than the messenger bag and designed in a neutral deep beige canvas with pretty pink, white and yellow blossoms printed throughout.

Again it has an adjustable crossbody shoulder strap and a flashy hot pink lining.

There is also an external slip pocket at the front of the bag with one internal zipped pocket and a top zip fastening to finish.

This bag would easily blend in well with summery outfits, whether they are plain or patterned.

Both these bags are made from a strong and durable canvas and will certainly make a great fashion statement throughout the Summer months.

Now all I have to do is wait patiently at the door for the delivery man to bring me my new bag – I really do get quite excited waiting for a new purchase to arrive! 🙂
