Its reaching sports fever pitch this Summer between the World Cup in Brazil, the Common Wealth games in Glasgow and the classic Wimbledon season, to name but a few.

If you enjoy watching major sporting events, whether attending or merely watching on the TV there is nothing stopping you from having the excuse to stay stylish and on trend when you are out. A great way of achieving this is with a new sports luxe handbag and there are plenty milling around this season.

The main trends seem to be metallic and bold coloured bags, from bowling bags to small across the body bags to large oversized twin grab handled totes.

Referring to my previous post about my new hobby of purchasing designer handbags, the search is now on for an eye-catching metallic or bold coloured accessory that will not only stand the test of fashion time but also be durable and practical. I have been quite impressed by the range of metallic and vibrant colours available.

Bagsational Shoulder Bag
House of Fraser Designer Handbags
My first port of call was House of Fraser as not only do they stock a large array of handbags, they also have a smashing 60% off sale on their accessory lines at the moment. Happy days all round! 🙂

I was drawn to the Kipling Range as they seemed to stock quite a few oversized silver metallic bowling bags and totes. My favourite being the Bagsational Shoulder Bag. It has plenty of room for all my bits and pieces with internal pockets to keep my smaller items safe and within easy and quick reach.

With the House of Fraser sale, this Kipling bag has been reduced by almost £30.00, and there are other styles available to suit you, and all with great savings.

Merrit Tote Bag
Tommy Hilfiger Handbags
I noticed this next bag when a young women was out shopping in town and couldn’t help but notice its bold colour and gorgeous colour block style. Cheekily I asked her where it was from, and thankfully the kind lady informed me that she’d recently purchased it from Tommy Hilfiger.

As there isn’t a shop nearby to me, I hurriedly went online when I got home to have a look, and lo and behold there it was – this hot fuchsia pink Merrit Tote Bag with it’s contrasting tan leather twin grab handles and deep purple central panel. Absolutely dazzling and chic!

The inside was just as impressive with it’s numerous inner pockets, two with zips and a magnetic stud top fastening to finish. I was ready to hit the ‘Add To Bag’ button, when I noticed it was on sale as well – Wow and double Wow! What an awesome purchase, not bad for a designer handbag beginner.

With all these lovely sales around, the money I’ve saved on my new bag can be put towards my next purchase of a pair of Summer wedge heeled sandals – come back soon and I’ll let you know what I bought!!
