Summer Wedge Heel Sandals

Well after a long hard search I have finally narrowed my purchases to two new pairs of wedge heeled sandals! It was tough because there were so many colours, styles and heel heights to choose from.

Mono Sequin Toe Thong Low Wedges
NEXT Summer Sandals
Hence, why my purchases are bordering on a neutral colour range. The first pair I decided on are part of the NEXT Summer Sandals range and will easily mix and match with all of my Summer wardrobe, from my cropped trousers and jeans to my pretty Summer dresses.

These Mono sequin toe thong sandal are a mix of black and white sequins and bead detail in a pattern of monochrome stripes across the squiggly shaped straps.

The low wedge heel makes them a really comfortable pair of sandals that I was happy to wear all day. My only concern was, would the toe thong rub between my toes and a) hurt and annoy me and b) cause a blister!

Thankfully, neither of these things happened as I walked around town.

My other pair are slightly more indulgent on the style and heel side, but not on the cost as I was able to get them in the sale (yes, I know my bargain hunting is beyond!!)

Caged Wedge Heel Sandal
Wallis Shoe Sale
These pastel shaded orange caged strappy soft leather high wedge heels came from Wallis shoe sale and are my firm favourites at this point in time. I have fallen in love with their warm Summer shade which blends so well with my bold coloured maxi dresses and skirts.

They have a sturdy cork style wedge heel of approximately 8cms which is comfortable and wearable for a day or evening and the adjustable ankle strap fits neatly under my ankle – so no pain there ! 😉

I wore them on an evening out with the girls with my burnt orange/black printed maxi dress, some understated jewellery and my Essie ‘Meet me at Sunset’ nail polished toe nails. As my friends and I sat in the evening sun having a scrumptious meal (and a few glasses of refreshing Pimms!) they felt like a pair of cosy slippers.

With all my fabby friends comments, I realise what great choices I’ve made. Although I have seen a couple of other pairs of sandals I’m rather taking a fancy to, like animal prints and a bolder red pair, they might have to wait a bit longer before I get my feet into them, just so I can enjoy wearing these two little pair of sandal beauties first.
