Stripe Jumpers

Continuing on my decluttering journey I have recycled or donated some old jumpers to local charity shops or the amenity centre.

So there is a space in my wardrobe for some smart jumpers to be worn day or night.

Ben de Lisi Stripe Jumper I have been on the look out for a gorgeous stripe jumper for some time and have found a few nice knits at Debenhams, like this monochrome and stripe knit from the Principles by Ben de Lisi range, I knew it was the perfect one for me.

It is designed with a round neck and features a stripe and dot effect pattern on the front panel with dots along the sleeve cuffs.

During the Spring, I have teamed this jumper with various jeans and boots combos, and have worn an under layer for added warmth.

Out of curiosity, I also wore it with a pair of smart tailored black trousers and a maxi skirt and was happy that it looked elegant enough for a casual evening occasion.

The two colours contrast so well together and horizontal stripes offer a slimming effect as well.

Uttam Stripe JumperThis jumper from Uttam Boutique is a gorgeous navy blue and stone multi striped jumper with a pretty embellised neckline.

A smart knit for everyday wear, and the fact that it has long sleeves is a great plus, as a lot of jumpers these days, including mine, seem to have three quarer length or short sleeves.

I really love the varying widths of stripes and the delicate diamante necklace embellishment used, as it gives this otherwise ordinary jumper a classier edge.

Now for something a little bit different from Phase Eight.

Phase Eight Stripe JumperAdding a little twist to an outfit, this cape style jumper has side splits, narrow cuffed, batwing sleeves and to finish off a pretty asymmetric hem.

I love the stone and grey marl block stripe combo as the colours lend themselves well to be worn as a transitional piece during the cooler Summer days.

Adding some bold and jazzy jewellery to any of these knitwear pieces, together with a Summer heeled sandal will easily transcend your day look to a casual evening outift.

Probably due to my age I prefer warmth and comfort above trend, so these jumpers from Debenhams offer a classy, elegant and sophisticated look to your day and casual evening ensemble.

I always think that a classic stripe, whatever width or design, adds a chic edge to any piece, whether it’s a jumper, top or dress.
