Following on from my Radley prescription glasses piece, I thought I’d tell you about the half price prescription offer I received at the same time, which I mentioned back in my last post.
I had a similar problem with my sunglasses as I had with my glasses – my eye prescription was way out of date by about 4 years!!
With a Boots Opticians offer of “buy one full price pair of glasses and get the 2nd pair half price” it was the perfect time to invest in new sunglasses.
Realising my eyes are getting more sensitive to the sun whilst driving, I thought it might be because of my old narrow frames and I decided to go for a large rounded framed – aka Jackie Onassis.
There was so many to choose from, it was difficult to narrow it down. But in the end I really liked the look and feel of these Vogue brown tinted lens sunglasses, especially with the silver floral and diamante stud on the arm of the sunglasses.
I opted to go for the ordinary brown tinted lens without verifocals, as most of the time I am either walking or driving when wearing my sunglasses.
The day I went to pick up my new sunglasses (same time as my prescription Radley Glasses – see blog post here) the sun was shining beautifully and so I wore them on my drive home.
Needless to say, they were perfect.
Not only was everything so much sharper and clearer with the new eye prescription but also the protection my eyes got from the sun due to the larger frame covering, was fabulous.
So between my new glasses and sunglasses combination, it really was a great investment for the health of my eyes.
No more headaches and no more screwing my face up as the sun catches the corner of my eyes. The only downside was the cost, but saying that, the health benefits far outweigh the money spent.
So well done Boots Opticians, reliable, great advice from staff and plenty of frames and lens choices to suit all prescription needs.
