At the beginning of the Summer season I realised that having de cluttered my wardrobe and footwear, I was left with just one pair of decent wedged heel sandals, with no flat everyday sandal or ballerina pump to speak of.
Comfort for my feet is always a top priority as, in my eyes, I have awkward shaped feet which swell in the heat as do most peoples.
So I headed off to the shops to try on some ballerina pumps.
Having tried a few pairs on in Office Shoes, Debenhams and Marks and Spencer, the most comfy ones I tried were these gold bow ballerina pumps from Marks & Spencer.
Not only were they a bit bling due to the gold glitter outer shoe but they have the wonderful Insolia Flex innersole, exclusive to Marks and Spencer, which offers extreme comfort for even the most awkward of feet – namely mine!
From the first day I wore these ballerina pumps there was no painful or sore feet to speak of, which is amazing as sometimes in the past I’ve had to “wear the shoes in”!
Ballet pumps are so handy to just pop on with a pair of jeans, crop trousers, shorts or a skirt, and the neutral shade of these pumps makes it so easy to mix and match with any colour outfit.
I’ve worn these shoes throughout the day and evening, whatever the weather and I can honestly say that they felt as comfortable first thing in the morning as they did late in the evening.
I believe that due to the slightly raised heel and insolia flex innersole, these two things ensure my feet are placed correctly in the shoe.
Marks and Spencer has a wide range of Ballerina Pumps available, and have launched their gorgeous Autumn collection.
I opted to buy the navy and white toe cap leather ballerina pump, as I loved the contrasting colours, and I’ll blog about them next time 😉
The great thing about Marks and Spencer shoes is that you know you will get a comfortable, durable and stylish pair of shoes, whether you opt for an expensive pair from the Autograph range or a cheaper pair from M&S Collection range. I’ve been lucky with both.
My favourite pair from the Autumn range are these Ocre leather block heel slingback flats from the Autograph range (some of the colours have 50% discount at the moment).
I think they will look great for the coming season, as jeans and trousers will probably be my dress code for the next few weeks.
As much as I love my boots, I do try to hold off wearing them until we get closer to Winter, especially when there are so many gorgeous leather shoes to choose from.
