Last winter I was on the look out for a poncho, but couldn’t make a decision what colour, shape, pattern etc I liked, and so ended up not getting one!!
This Autumn sees me on the search again – but now I know which one I want.
Last year’s selection at Wallis was fabulous and they have not let me down this season either. They have created a variety of colours, styles and knitting patterns, so there’s something to suit everyone.
They have restocked the black, camel, cream and red fringed ponchos and also introduced a monochromed striped poncho along with an Alpaca mixed fabric Premium Collection poncho in black or stone.
I’m ordering the black and camel fringed poncho, as these are my favourites.
Not all shades of camel suit me, so I’m ordering one for me to see how it looks on me first before making a decision on which one I shall be keeping.
I like the simplicity of this chic and classic poncho especially the gorgeous fringed edging and roll cowl neck which will keep my neck warm, a big plus for me.
The neutral colours will make it easy for me to mix and match with the multitude of coloured jeans and jeggings I seem to have accumalated over the past 12 months! 🙂
Made from 100% acrylic, it will keep a few chills at bay and the loose fitting design, makes it easy to layer up underneath for extra warmth if needs be.
I do like the look of the newly designed Monochrome Striped Poncho, it’s a typical winter white and grey shade and lends itself to a jazzier styled winter poncho.
No fringing on this poncho, but the chunky ribbed weave, cowl neckline and longer length ensures that you will certainly feel the benefits of this smart and sassy poncho.
The varied styles of patterns throughout this poncho, adds a depth and textured feel to it.
Saying that, if you want some extra warmth and luxury in your poncho, then take a sneaky peak at the W Premium Collection Stone or Black Ribbed poncho. This piece has a chunky knit pattern throughout, with an extra 10% Alpaca added to the acrylic base.
This slightly more fitted multi knit patterned poncho, has a rich and sumptuous feeling to it and will keep you snug and warm during those colder Autumn and Winter months.
So I’m off to click that all important “Add to basket” button and wait patiently – or not – for the delivery of my camel and black poncho.
Who knows, if I time my purchase right, Wallis may have another one of their flash sales and I can bag myself a bargain, I may even be tempted to keep both colours 😉
