After getting majorly excited about the promise of snow, it was a big disappointment that we only had the merest dusting. Although I’ve seen that some places have been luckier – I’m a big kid when it comes to the snow.
So to soothe my disappointment, I added another piece to my wardrobe and purchased this simple V-necked berry jumper from Next (any excuse!) 😉
As I’ve mentioned in previous blogs, I’m trying out new colours, patterns and shapes of clothing to see what I like, but sometimes I can’t help but lapse into some old habits and stick to some plain and simple pieces – just like this jumper.
I’ve wanted to get something in this on trend berry shade for a while and this jumper is quite a deep shade of berry, bordering on the colour of red wine (which is not a bad thing).
I’ll probably wear this jumper throughout the varying seasons as I can layer it up with a lightweight polo necked top or long sleeved round neck tee in the Autumn/Winter and pop a camisole or vest top underneath at other times.
The jumper’s made from a mix of viscose and acrylic, so is quite lightweight and features a subtle seam down the back, two piping seams at the front and double sided splits at the hemline.
Apart from those few added features, this is truly a simple jumper. Making it easy to dress up or down, according to your outfit.
Today, I’ve simply paired my jumper over a vest top with my new Ellie skinny jeans bought in the Wallis sale recently.
I’m not venturing out and about today apart from the school run, so I’ve gone for this fab casual look.
