A kimono jacket is something I have been after since last summer but haven’t found “the one”, that is until I saw this Red Herring paisley kimono jacket in Debenhams.
As soon as I tried it on, I just loved the colour and pattern, which I thought was subtle enough not to be overpowering.
As I mentioned in my previous blog about my Wallis dress, I am trying to branch out into a world of pattern and varying styles of clothing, and this again is an item of clothing I’ve liked the look of but thought wouldn’t suit me.
It was another great bargain from the Debenhams sale, reduced from £25 down to £7.50!
You know me and my sale pieces 😉
The background on this Kimono jacket is black, with a red border trim and paisley pattern throughout. It also features three quarter length loose sleeves and an open front.
I picked up a large (as that is what was left in store) and it may be a little bit loose across the shoulders, but I do like that easy fitting flow, especially during the summer when you don’t want to wear anything “tight”.
Usually Red Herring clothing airs on the small size of 12/14, and I knew I’d be safe with a large size, and this top does fit nicely over my top half curves.
Made from 100% viscose, this top won’t crease and will hopefully wash well.
Roll on the Summer months so that I can pop this gorgeous kimono top on over a vest top or short sleeved tee to complete my outfit.
