I bought this gorgeous snake print cross body messenger handbag in Next during their Christmas sale and it was definitely a keeper.

Snake Print Crossover Bag
This soft leather casual grey handbag is small and compact. Perfect, if I only want to take a few items with me, like my mobile phone, purse, tissues, mints and car keys. The bag is mainly a dark grey shade with a small front pocket and a long adjustable snake print shoulder strap.

The bag has one main compartment, with three small internal pockets and a tiny front pocket which all close with silver zips.

This bag matches up with my Marks and Spencer metallic zipped parka coat beautifully.

Unfortunately, as with all Next sales, their sale items sell out quickly and that is the case in hand with this handbag.

But don’t fret just take a look at the New Season’s gorgeous handbags at Next for 2020. I already have my eye on one or two of them as not only are they versatile and durable they look amazing too.

I guess I’m going against this season’s trend of oversized tote bags, but there are certain occasions that call for a mini crossover body handbag.

As you may know, I do spend a lot of time on the sidelines of a football pitch watching my daughter play football. So this small snakeskin bag is ideal and the fact that it fits perfectly across my body means it doesn’t slip off my shoulder as some handbags do.

I do wish I’d changed my handbag last week when I went shopping though. I only bought some head bands for my daughter but they wouldn’t fit into my handbag without being squashed and I ended up carrying a large recycled carrier bag with just three alice bands in it!

So like everything in life, there is a time and a place for something. It is no different when it comes to handbags, small, medium or large, I think you need all three 😉

So I’m now on the look out for something in between a tote and this snakeskin cross body handbag. I’ll probably opt for a bag with a few more compartments in my favourite shade of grey. Watch this space!
