Having ordered a few pieces from the Next sale on the 23rd December, some of pieces finally arrived last week.
I knew I’d have to wait as in fairness to Next they clearly stated in their original confirmation email the expected delivery due dates, nevertheless, I was excited to open the goodies I’d ordered.
I’d chosen a varied amount of patterned and coloured tops just to see what suited me and if I could upgrade and change my wardrobe a little bit.
Unfortunately, whether it’s my laptop or the photography, some of the pieces looked rather different in style, fit and colour when they arrived, so I have returned quite a few pieces. However, there were a couple of tops that I did like and have kept.
The first top was this everyday navy blue and white stripe long sleeved T-shirt.
I love stripes and this top is an ideal layer for Autumn/Winter whilst being perfect for cooler Spring/Summer days.
The plain white sleeves adds a varied element to the top, not being overpowered by the prominent navy stripes, I like that contrasting look.
The length of the top is just right for me to because it’s made from a stretch cotton it fits neatly on my hips.
Talking of contrasts, the other top I have kept is completely different to the casual navy stripe top above. As you know from my previous post about the Red Ruffle Necked top from Marks & Spencer, I love this style of top.
Here is the perfect example of a smart yet casual top. The Ecru Lace Top with high neck and cuffed sleeves is the perfect addition to my wardrobe to smarten up any outfit, especially as I spend most of my time in jeans!
It’s quite a soft delicate lace so I’ll have to be careful as I think it will snag easy if caught on a zip or Velcro etc. I’m wearing it with a vest top here, and I think it looks fab, most importantly it makes me feel great when I’ve popped it on.
The top features all over lace with a ruffled lace neckline and long straight sleeve, it is slightly fitted and sits neatly over my jeans just below the waistline level.
I’m really looking forward to giving this gorgeous top an outing soon.
I’m still waiting for a couple of new coloured jumpers to arrive from the Next Sale!
Fingers crossed I won’t have to wait too much longer and if there are any keepers I’ll pop them on here for you to see.
