Thank you again to Femme Luxe for asking me to review some of their summer casual pieces. I have chosen items from their loungewear collection as they have a multitude of clothing choices, from tracksuits, tops and joggers to hoodies, crop tops and shorts.
However, this time I decided to include my 12 year old daughter in my review, as she really liked some of the tie dye and vibrant coloured t-shirts on offer with Femme Luxe.
These are the two tops she picked to review:-
Pink Tie Dye Oversized T-Shirt – Veda
Ever since my daughter made a tie dye tee in Design and Technology at school, she has loved all things tie dye, so this pink tie dye oversized t-shirt was the perfect choice for her.
The tee is crew necked with short sleeves and a long boxy design and is made from 100% cotton. As my daughter is very long bodied and narrow, I ordered a size S (6/8). The t-shirt is designed to be oversized and although it is a bit loose on her, she really does love the tie dye pattern, colour and looseness of the top. With all the warm weather we have been having recently, this top is ideal when she wants to keep cool.
This vibrant tie dye t-shirt is also available in a cute lilac and a sweet blue shade and is a brilliant bargain, costing just £8.99.
Coral ‘California’ Graphic Print T-Shirt – Rivka
The second top my daughter chose was this gorgeous coral ‘California’ graphic print t-shirt, which is the perfect finishing touch to a simple everyday casual summer look, especially when teamed with her denim shorts and Adidas originals white trainers.
This tee is again crew necked with short sleeves but with a slightly more fitted feel to it. I chose the size S (6/8) and it fits my girl just right.
This vivid tee adds some summer vibes to her wardrobe, whilst the printed ‘California’ slogan and palm trees evokes feelings of beaches and sunshine. The print work is finished to a decent standard.
This cotton t-shirt only costs £9.99 and is also available in a shade of pale blue.
Pink ‘La Femme’ Slogan Print Lip T-Shirt -Rayna
Now on to me! Firstly, I chose this casual cotton crew necked top for everyday wear with my shorts or jeans.
This pink ‘La Femme’ slogan print lip t-shirt is very similar to the design of my previously reviewed black leopard print ‘Femme La Mode’ slogan print t-shirt – lilianna apart from the colour pink and shade of the printed lips.
Having realised the previous black lilianna tee was oversized, I decided to opt for the XL (12/14) size instead of the 14/16 size. Unfortunately, although the top was a bit smaller on me it was still too loose and as you can see from the photos, even when tucked in, it is still baggy along my sides, making my top half look even bigger than it normally does.
However, this top will be great for hot sunny days when I just want to throw over a loose top to keep me cool. This t-shirt is again made from 100% cotton top and is just £7.99. I will wear this top as I do love the leopard printed slogan.
Khaki Loungewear Tracksuit Set – Maria
Finally, I chose this lightweight khaki loungewear tracksuit set for just £16.99. I love the green colour of this khaki loungewear tracksuit set and although the weather is too warm for it at the moment, it will definitely be a go to item as Autumn draws in.
The long sleeved top features a wide round neckline with softly cuffed sleeves and hem, whilst the lightly elasticated waistband with mock ties, cuffed ankles and two side pockets of the tracksuit bottoms feel so soft and comfortable, they actually feel like a pair of your cosiest pyjamas.
This tracksuit set is made from 95% polyester and 5% elastane, which gives them the perfect amount of stretch for lounging around in, or going on a walk in pure comfort. I opted for the L (14/16) size which fits me comfortably.
If you don’t want to wear them as a set, the top looks great with a pair of jeans too.
All in all apart from my mistake in picking an XL (12/14) instead of L (10/12) for my pink t-shirt, I have again been impressed by the good quality clothing for such low prices at Femme Luxe.
