Femme Luxe Casual Knitwear

I must say it feels a little bit odd writing a piece about new clothing during this surreal time in our lives seeing as most of us are in a lockdown situation.

But I am trying to keep a bit of normality and routine going on in my family and life.  So although we may not be going out and about as we would normally, when I am using face time to talk to family and friends, I still want to be wearing something comfortable.

So when I was asked to review some casual knitwear pieces by Femme Luxe, I couldn’t say no. I chose 4 different styles and colours of jumpers to write up on.

Teal Oversized Split Side Knitted Jumper – Lore

Teal Oversized Jumper

The main thing I loved about this longline oversized side split teal jumper was the subtle spring time teal shade. The length is perfect for me to wear with jeans or jeggings especially the Catriona, black faux leather look leggings I reviewed previously from Femme Luxe.

This jumper is just £11.99 and I ordered a size L (10/12) as I knew it would be a loose fit as it is made from 100% acrylic and I know it will stretch over time. The sleeves are quite long, but it sits well with the baggy fitting style of the jumper.

Personally, I’m not really a big fan of such a high side split on this jumper as I feel the jumper doesn’t fall as well as it could, but I will still enjoy wearing it casually with my jeans and leggings.

Pink Oversized Knit Jumper – Hetty

Pink Oversized Knit Jumper

This is not a colour I would normally choose but I thought as it seemed a dusky shade of pink it would be a nice change and I was right!

This round necked pink oversized jumper has a fine knit feel to it with a ribbed neckline and cuffs.  I ordered the size L (10/12) due to the 100% acrylic fabric and boxy oversized style.

The sleeves are again quite long, which is great if you want to keep your hands warm, but can be a bit frustrating.

The cost of this jumper is just £8.99 and it is also available in white.  This jumper is again a gorgeous addition to my everyday knitwear collection, which can be worn casually with jeans or will be the perfect addition to throw over a tee or vest top on cooler Summer nights.

Really glad that I opted to get the size 10/12 for both of these jumpers above instead of ordering my usual size 14.

Grey Mesh Tie Bow Front Ribbed Frill Top – Valente

Grey Mesh Bow Tie jumper

I really loved the style and fit of this dark grey jumper with the mesh tie bow front detailing.  Although I ordered a size M/L (12/14) it is quite a snug fit.   It is made from 70% viscose and 30% polyester so at least it has a nice comfortable feel and stretch to it.

I really liked the mesh bow tie front detailing and ribbed bodice in a fitted style.  The finishing touch to this piece of knitwear is the luxe long frill cuffed sleeve design, which adds a bit of glam to an otherwise casual jumper.

The mesh bow is separate to the jumper so can be worn with or without depending of your mood.  The mesh neckline closes at the back with double pearlescent buttons.

The cost of this fabulous jumper is just £11.99 and is available in six different colours ranging from white to bright orange, so there is something to suit everyone.

Grey Ribbed Knitted Long Sleeve Jumper – Posie

Grey Ribbed Knitted Jumper

Finally I ordered this simple high round necked grey ribbed jumper for just £9.99.  Again it is made simply from 100% acrylic but I like the fact that it has a wide ribbed design with turned up cuff sleeves.

This jumper is shorter than I’d normally choose but it goes well with jeans and fits comfortably under my jackets.  This casual jumper is also available in black and cream and is a super wardrobe staple.

I ordered the size L (10/12) which was big enough as again this jumper is styled in a loose fit design with a dropped shoulder effect.

I have been really impressed by these 4 jumpers, with the varied designs, styles and colours I chose.  They are the perfect addition to my Spring wardrobe and can be worn casually with an array of clothing pieces from trousers and jeans to combats and leggings.

Thanks once again to Femme Luxe for asking me to review some of their new collection of knitwear ranges.
